Icarus Radio Model Flying Club, affiliated to the BMFA, has been in existence for more than 50 years. The club consists of 30 members with skill level ranging from beginners to experienced model flyers.

We fly remote control aircraft of various types at our grass site near Brands Hatch racing circuit with members flying a wide range, including Control Line, Free Flight, RC Sports and Scale, RC Gliders, Electric and IC only.  Our site is Not suitable for jets and turbine planes as the site is not large enough and we have arable crops on all sides and our Landlord has requested that Jets are not flown.

We have two BMFA Examiners who can assist with the BMFA Achievement scheme where an ‘A’ or ‘B’ certificate can be obtained, if members wish to, but this is not compulsory.

The club requires that all members join the BMFA and CAA and encourages all members to take the BMFA Achievement Scheme test.
