Welcome to the Icarus Model Flying Club

The Icarus Model Flying Club is a small friendly club affiliated to the British Model Flying Association (BMFA), the national body which controls model flying in the UK, and run by a membership selected committee.

The aim of the Club is to provide facilities for, and promote participation in, the exciting sport of aero modelling and flying. We are an approachable group with a number of experienced members willing to assist others in advancing skill levels and abilities and give advice on many aspects of the pastime.

The main activity of the club is model flying which takes place all year-round at our flying site not far from Brands Hatch. Our site is ideally distanced from local residents and has an entrance which is accessed by members who hold a key. The club welcomes new members who wish to take up aero modelling as a hobby and new membership, when available, is open to all persons irrespective of ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, age or disability. Currently we have no new membership vacancies.
